The usage of our applications and APIs is subject to the purchase of credits, known as ByteChips, which can be used across the platform to run your computing jobs. Each computing job on our platform incurs a cost in ByteChips, determined by application-specific pay-per-use pricing tables. To initiate your jobs, you must purchase ByteChips in advance, either through a one-time purchase or by subscribing to a plan.

ByteChip packages

To cater to various usage needs and patterns, we offer ten ByteChip packages, each providing different quantities of ByteChips. Don't worry; you can always upgrade your ByteChip level based on your requirements.

Please note that the actual ByteChip price for an SD H.264 video encoding job may vary based on other parameters such as input bitrate or custom encoder options.

One-off purchases vs. subscriptions

You have the option to purchase any ByteChip package just once ("Stock") or subscribe to a monthly recurring top-up ("Subscription").

If you opt for a monthly ByteChip plan, a fresh set of ByteChips is allocated to your subscription at the start of each billing cycle.

Any unused Subscription ByteChips at the end of the month will expire and will not carry over to the next month.

In contrast, Stock ByteChips can be stored and used indefinitely.

The Subscription ByteChips are kept separately in a dedicated wallet, prioritized over the Stock ByteChips wallet.

This ensures that you deplete your Subscription ByteChips first, optimizing your current subscription cycle.

When you purchase larger ByteChip packages, you enjoy a reduced price per ByteChip, resulting in cost savings for larger quantities. Furthermore, all else being equal, we provide an additional discount on subscription packages in comparison to their equivalent stock packages. This means you can spend less and eliminate the need to frequently top up your account.
